 Scrambled eggs

Ingredients
5 eggs
1/2 cup of milk or 1/2 cup of cream
2 tablespoon butter

In a bowl, crack the eggs and beat them with a fork just enough to separate the yolks. Pour in the milk, pepper, and salt.
Add eggs to melted butter in the top of a double boiler. Cook over a moderate heat while positioned over hot water.
Use a fork to stir occasionally while cooking until creamy (about 10 minutes). Avoid overcooking. Dry scrambled eggs are not acceptable. (Hint: They are finished when the eggs are beautiful and fluffy and a runny liquid forms in the bottom.) Scoop out onto a dish and, if preferred, top with shredded cheddar cheese.
