Reduced Fat Alfredo Sauce


Ingredients
  • 1 cup 1% low-fat milk (skim may be used, but creates a thinner sauce)

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flour

  • 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

  • How To Make

  • Patience is crucial in this situation; add all ingredients gradually.
    Butter should be melted in a sauce pan over medium heat.
    Stir in the flour gradually.

    Yellow paste will result from this.

    Add the milk gradually while whisking to ensure that there are no lumps.

    Whirl until the mixture becomes heated.

    typically 3 to 5 minutes.

    The sauce will be thicker the longer the foundation (without the cheese) is cooked.

    Add the parmesan gradually and continue whisking until combined.

    Pepper and garlic salt may be added.

    2 minutes should be enough time to melt the cheese.

    Get rid of the heat.
