Cheesy Egg Noodles


Ingredients
  • 6 cups egg noodles. cooked to al dente

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese (divided)

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • How To Make

  • Turn on the oven to 350 °F. Follow the directions on the pasta bag to cook it. Place in a greased, medium-sized casserole dish after draining.

    Once the butter has melted, add it to a skillet and whisk in the flour.
    Very, very little milk should be added. Just enough to incorporate it. Up until all the milk has been added and the mixture is smooth, add a small amount at a time while stirring continually.
    2 cups of the shredded cheese should be added and thoroughly mixed in.

  • Pour the sauce over the noodles in the casserole once the cheese has melted and it has become thick. Add the final cup of cheddar cheese on top.

    Covered baking for 20 to 25 minutes, then remove the cover and bake uncovered for an additional 10 to 15 minutes to let the cheese melt and brown. Dispense and savor!
